Our Doodles

Nel

We are a family devoted to our dogs and very proud of the puppies that we have bred and the amazing families that become part of the wonderful Kingscotedoodles community. We live in Maidencombe, on the outskirts of Torquay, Devon with far reaching views towards Dartmoor. Our family home has a large safe garden and is surrounded by fields and woodlands with the beach being just a short walk away. We take full advantage of them all.

Luna

Luna’s first litter of small/medium sized Australian Double Doodles (Miniature Australian Labradoodle and Medium Goldendoodle)are planned for Spring 2024.

Luna is a stunner and a very special girl! A multi generation Double Doodle, daughter to Kingscotedoodle Nel (Ultimate GoldenDoodle) and Bertie (F1b Goldendoodle). Carefully bred and inherited all of the adorable doodle traits and character from her parents, the goofiness and playfulness of Nel and the calmness and laid back nature of Bertie.

Luna is a delight to be with, loving family life and bringing so much joy to our lives and especially to our grandchildren who love her to bits. She is so affectionate and gentle with our grandchildren and enjoys playing mum to all our puppies and especially Evie, so we know that she will be the most amazing mother when her puppies arrive.

For most of the week, Luna lives nearby with our son, daughter in law, 3 grandchildren, Kingscotedoodle puppy Evie and the guinea pigs. She loves playing games, running through the woods, chasing balls, or snuggling up and instinctively knowing when a therapy cuddle is needed after a bad day at school. 🙁 Luna looks after her humans and her baby sister Evie and is very loyal to her family, being suspicious of strangers initially, but once she gets to know you is very happy to sit on your knee for a cuddle.

Luna has a shiny, non shedding thick, fleecy red coat, that when left to grow long develops into soft, flowing loose curls that you just can’t help but rub your hands through and Luna is always happy to please, loving a massage and being adored. She has a slender frame being approx 18kg in weight and standing at approximately 20 inches to the shoulder, making her medium in size.

Luna’s first litter is planned for Early Spring 2024. We have carefully selected a smaller Australian Labradoodle, red coated with white tuxedo markings, called Yogi Bear. (see photo below)

It goes without saying, as with all our dogs and stud dogs, future parents are extensively health tested. This includes British Veterinary Association hip and elbow scores as well as all potential breed specific inherited conditions. We only ever breed from dogs that are 100% clear and have the perfect temperament. We are so excited to meet Luna’s puppies.

Indie

Indie Indie is an UltimateDoodle (Double Doodle) and daughter of Kingscotedoodle matriarch, Molly (f1b labradoodle) and Bertie, ( F2 goldendoodle). Indie is 17inches to the shoulder and slight in stature, weighing approx 12kg, so a miniature sized doodle. Her coat is light red in colour, very soft, wavy curls and non shedding.

Indie is a bundle of fun and loves nothing better than to chase rabbits or squirrels in the woods or chase around the garden playing games and rough and tumble with her bestie, our Nel. The two girls wear each other out and can be double trouble when together.

Indie spends her time between the Kingscote household and with our daughter, Helen, her husband and two of our grandchildren. Indie is equally at home in both families but Helen is Indie’s chief Mummy and trainer. We all love her to bits! When not enjoying the beach, woodland, local walks or holidaying with her sister, Pickle (also Molly and Bertie), Indie comes to Kingscote for daycare, sleepovers, playdates and walks with the Kingscote pack. She gets so excited when they all meet up.

Helen describes Indie as being the most loving, energetic and mischievous bundle of fun. Indie most definitely benefited from the Puppy Culture programme that we followed during the first 12 weeks of her life and is calm and gentle when required. Helen describes Indie as being a dream to train, super intelligent and highly motivated to learn. Helen is a very proud mummy with Indie excelling at Puppy School and more recently Puppy University! !

Indie

Indie, like the rest of the pack is fed a balanced raw food diet. She is highly motivated by food and natural treats and loves her toys and doggy puzzles, putting the older dogs to shame with the speed in which she is able to solve puzzles.

Indie has the most wonderful personality and loves to be everyone’s friend, dogs and humans alike. She loves to snuggle up to everyone and will be soon sitting on your knee looking up with those puppy dog eyes. She is adorable! We can take her anywhere and her behaviour is always impeccable.

Indie is an adoring mummy and also likes to ‘muck in’ and take care of Nel’s puppies when they are very small.
She is fully DNA tested and has good hip scores.

Indie’s boyfriend for mating is Rufus, a stunning Double Doodle (Australian Labradoodle x Goldendoodle).

Molly(The Boss,and now retired)

Molly is an F1b Labradoodle - (second generation). Her mum is an F1 Labradoodle (first generation lab x standard poodle ) and her dad is a miniature poodle- hence b. Molly has a thick wavy/curly ‘non’ shedding cream coat and she stands at approximately 17” weighing 15kg. Molly has a sweet nature, excellent nature, loves cuddles and snuggling up. Molly is a natural mother with both her own puppies and our human grandchildren. Molly simply can’t resist a baby and her natural mothering instinct takes over..she is so adorable. Molly is loyal, intelligent, easy going and loving, typical of the Labradoodle breed. There’s nothing she likes more than chasing a ball or playing games, walks and swimming. When out and about, and especially in woods, Molly has a super sense of smell and can smell a treat or a ball mile away. She also likes to chase scents, rabbits and squirrels, although she would never catch or harm them.

Bonnie (The Peace Maker and now retired!)

Bonnie is Molly’s daughter and a third generation Labradoodle. Bonnie’s sire is ‘Bear’ an f1 Labradoodle ( Labrador x miniature poodle heritage) Bonnie has Bear’s coat, which is looser than Molly’s, and she is cream and apricot, non- shedding. When left to grow, her coat goes wavy/shaggy and is easy to maintain. Bonnie is fractionally heavier and taller than Molly, although the difference is negligible. She is a very gentle caring girl and will do anything to please. Bonnie wants to be everyone’s friend, humans and doggies alike. Dexter, our Border Collie can often get grumpy and Bonnie is quick to defuse his grumpiness by doing a little dance in front of him - Who could resist! Bonnie looks up to Molly and there’s never been a cross woof between the two of them! Bonnie is super intelligent and keen to please. She also takes over the puppy sitting duties and will play with and feed Molly’s puppies, if Molly needs a little rest.

Nel (The Mischief Maker!)

Nel is a third generation larger medium sized Goldendoodle and she has matured into the most stunning and funny dog, a friend to everyone, being admired wherever we go. She is a beauty and she knows it! Nel has the most loving nature and she loves cuddles and being stroked by everyone and anyone. When Nel wants a massage, she lets us know! Often with a slap on the arm as a prompt for more strokes. She loves nothing more than to snuggle up on the sofa on an evening to watch Paul Grady and his animal friends. Nigel, from Gardeners world is also another favourite.

Nel has the most amazing playful temperament and just loves the company of children, adults and visiting dogs alike. Nel’s best friend is Bonnie, who she loves to bits. Bonnie and Nel get along famously and are a constant source of fun and frolicks! Bonnie mothered Nel when Nel was a puppy and so Nel repaid this love by helping Bonnie with her new born puppies, babysitting and cleaning duties. Such is the trust and loving relationship between our girls! Nel is also best friend and mentor to Indie and of course, her grown puppies Luna and Evie. They adore each other!

Nel loves playing and chasing balls, goofing around with her Kingscote family. She also has many talents: talking to us in her Scooby doo voice when she wants to tell us something; ;she is also a magnet to water; swimming, diving and particularly paddle boarding, which she loves.
We live by the seaside and woodlands and Nel enjoys making the most of our local environment and for Nel, every outing is an adventure. She also enjoys holidays in our motorhome, especially when we go to the South of France frolicing in the Med. Nel is well travelled and in the past 2 years she has visited France, Italy, Croatia, Scotland, Wales as well as exploring Devon and Cornwall. Nel even visited Venice last year!

Nel is the largest of our girls, fully grown at 23 inches and weighing around 23kg. So larger in stature, of all our girls, but not quite standard size.

Her coat is non shedding- a luxurious dense fleecy shaggy, velvety feel coat.

Nel, is fully DNA health tested as well as both hip and elbow scored, because she is a larger girl, and to ensure that she is in the best possible health and so that no possible breed specific hereditary diseases can be passed on to any puppies.

Dex (The Rounder Upper!)

Dex Is our 12 year old Border Collie and he does what Collies do best - chase balls! Dex came from a working Devon farm as a puppy, and has seen his doggie family grow and grow. He likes to think he’s in charge but Molly knows better. He’s at his happiest when he’s “working” - and for him, that means chasing something ….. Anything!!
