Let's assume you've bought a puppy!

Remember, having a puppy is like having a new born baby. It will be hard work initially, but very rewarding in the long term. Establish a routine and stick to it! Make sure that your puppy gets enough rest as he/she needs this to grow. Have FUN, but be firm and never ever smack a puppy. Only ever use positive training techniques. We recommend you enrol at a local puppy school as soon as you are able. You will not be able to attend a class until your puppy has had his/her second injection, and a period of 10 to 14 days has elapsed. The puppy school is great fun, and while it's aimed at training puppies and dogs, the reality is it's the dog owners that provide the long term training and the puppy school trains the owners how to train their dog/s.

All five of our dogs have attended a local puppy school and they thoroughly enjoyed it - as did we!
